    Hi,
Off to France next week and hoping to spend a bit of time near Sword beach.
One of our groups Grandfather landing on D-day with the Norfolk regt and was wounded somewhere around/between Hillman and Rover. We are planning to explore this area and I was wondering if anyone could post a map of the area South of Hillman.
I already have a few road maps and the Holts guide map for the area, but would like something from the day or of a scale for walking 1:25,000.
Thought I'd try here before ordering from IGN.
    Cheers
    Ali

I do have copies of the original D Day maps for that area, brought back by a mate that had them stuffed down his blouson when he was wounded, they are so tatty that they are not worth posting.
But a full battle map is obtainable over there at the museum..they give them away almost. Wish you well, I was at Hillman. never been back

Ali - am pretty sure I have a map of the area. Drop me an email and I will send you a scan.

    Paul- Cheers, email on way.

I'm particularly interested to locate a position known as Vermouth as the Norfolks advanced towards there from Rover.

    Regards
    Ali
