TOURGEVILLE MILITARY CEMETERY A HEDGE TO THE SIDE OF THE CEMETERY (PREDOMINENTLY WW1 COMMONWEALTH & GERMAN GRAVES) OBSCURES A VIEW TO THE SEA.
Nice photos. I was at Beny sur Mer in 2007. It is truly a beautiful and peaceful place. I agree. I also like the fact that you can climb up steps to both of the small buildings to get a better view. Dangerous getting up and back down though.
That concludes the cemteries I was able to visit. A coach load of visitors came into Ranville War Cemetery before I was able to do the wide shots, so I did not take any views.
My great uncle Harold is buried in La Deliverande its is indeed very peaceful and immaculately kept by the groundsman..
Excellent Photos Cheers for posting Rob,Who ever came up with the phrase `Silent Cities` was spot on mate.Best Wishes Best Wishes Jim
We had our good friends over today for grub & F1 GP today, Jill still thinks I'm odd for visiting cemeteries on every holiday. We don't think it's odd do we chaps?
My older siblings were not too impressed, I have to say. I had to leave them in places to sightsee whilst I did the photography.
Great pictures Rob, Hottot les Bagues and Tilly Sur Seulles are the nearest to the house we used to have in Normandy. Visited them many times and have some emotional memories of them. Visited qiute a few of the others on the 50th Anniversary of D-Day. A very special weekend.

Rob, Well done. Great photos. Interesting to see the smaller cemeteries that are not visited as often. cheers Randy
