Hi, I am trying to reasearch 5770439 Pte A G Willis of the Royal Norfolk regiment who was taken POW during WW2. His POW number is 316 and he was imprisoned in Stalag IX-C, Muhlhausen. As he had a low number I am assuming he was captured during the fall of France in may/June 1940. I would be interested t o find out which Bn he was with and where he was captured, any help appreicated, Cheers, Rick
I'd email the musuem...They seem to have quite a bit of info on the battalions. I've checked my 2nd Bn books ref the massacre and none have an index so short of reading them again I can't say if he is listed in them.
Rick, the best and quickest place to get the information would be at Kew as he may have made a Report when he was Liberated. WO 344/348/1 would be the File
