I am trying to find any information on No. 827399 Sergeant William "Billy" Sargent D.C.M. Royal Regiment of Artillery Awarded the D.C.M. for his actions in the battle of Kohima during WWII. Also mentioned in dispatches for his gallant and distinguished service in Malaya during 1951. He was born in Edinburgh in 1915 and after 1950 all contact was lost with the family any information would be of great help.
