I have one airborne chap from WW2 here and a few from post war. It would appear to be a bit of a mission to visit the cemetery at the moment, you can only get to it with an escort from the British Army UN contingent unfortunately, although if there is progress with the two sides it may open up! which I will not comment on here.
I think also that only discreet photography is allowed too once you are there.

Having said that I am hoping to visit Cyprus again next year sometime for a holiday so might give it a go, dependent on the situation etc.

    Regards to all

I have a postcard dated 6th June 1943 - C.S.O. Cyprus from my grandfather to my mother who was in Nairobi at the the time with her mother.
Can anyone tell me what the C.S.O. stands for? Presumably a military office of some sort.

    My googles have been unsuccessful!

Not on my trips I haven't..... not sure when we will be back on the sunny island (hoping next year sometime) so might make some enquiries then.... depends on the logistics as I think you only have a reasonably short period of time there with your escort!!.

    Regards
