    Hello.

The recent creation of the "Arctic Star" prompted me to research my father's MN wartime experiences in order to successfully claim, as next of kin, his Arctic Star, the oak-leaf of his Kings Commendation and the other medals he had not bothered to claim.
I am now following up the various operations his ships were involved in in the Arctic, Atlantic and Mediterranean.

    Hello Hugh,

I think that I recognise you from another forum.
Thanks for the offer of help - I am trying to understand the Merchant Navy Awards Index on here. If they are links they just seem to take me in a circle. I am obviously doing something wrong or misunderstanding what they are.

    Regards
    Nick

Hello Nick, yes I thought it was you too :)

The forum has recently changed to a new platform and there are probably some niggily issues still to be sorted. I see what you mean about the links. When you click on them they just take you back to the Home page. Hopefully Diane (dbf) will see the thread and have a look at the links.

    Regards
    Hugh
