70 years have passed since the Second World War ended…that war claimed the lives of over 65 million people…Some people who lived through all the hardships and troubles of that time are still alive today…But what do we know about the wars events? What do our children and grandchildren know? What do we know about the heroes that gave their lives for our freedom? Do we venerate their memory? Do we do everything we possibly can to prevent the repetition of such horrible events?

We have collected photos and data related to the greatest tragedy of the Twentieth century from all over the world for more than 7 years. The idea of our project is the creation of an online library where the photos of that time are posted with an appropriate description in different languages. We receive many requests from people that live in different countries. Some search for information about their relatives who took part in military actions, others deliver lectures, arrange guided tours and teach history to the young people, and others still want to understand the causes of this tragedy.

We are going to make photos from the private sources available…and there are more than ten thousand photos we have managed to collect. We are going to share photos from the museums dedicated to the Second World War, unfortunately not everyone has the time or the opportunity to see them. We will help people to find information about their relatives, to translate the content to different languages so people from different countries will receive new information, and to communicate and help replenish the library with their knowledge. We wish to provide the opportunity to teach the young generation and to arrange exhibitions. The content will all be for free. Together we will find answers to all these questions, even though it will not always be easy.

People, especially, the young generation, spend more and more time on the internet and receive new information by means of the World Wide Web, and there is no such kind of library up until now. Together the memory will be eternalised, Together we are stronger!
