The Flails from 79th Armour operated during Operation Veritable, this picture coul be from that area. So it could be Dutch language.

Even better, think this is it.

    Schiet op.

  7. Great find Kevin!

The name does look like SCHIETOP, and the regiment is definitely Westminster Dragoons (AoS 53):
    Crab W DGNS name SCHIETOP - Tank Chats #52 - 06.19.jpg

Another shot of much interest (around 07:23) is the high resolution pic of No.94 WANDERING WILLIE, showing its WD No. T150569:
    No.94 WANDERING WILLIE T150569 - Tank Chats #52 - 07.24.jpg

This Crab T150569 is mentioned as taken on charge of the Regt during the month of Feb 44.

    Hi Michel,

I was so surprised to find SCHIET OP that I missed the fact that I didn't have the census number noted for WANDERING WILLIE.

    Good spot by you too.

    Cheers

Those pictures are absolutely brilliant! Well spotted both of you.

I'm not exactly sure what the Tank Museum's video archive consists of, but there are other bits in their tank chats that I've never seen elsewhere.
