Thanks for posting the link up; interesting.

Not sure if much of it's content falls into the "untold story" hype though.

On release it'll be interesting to me to see if Exercise Tiger gets more time than the fleeting passing mention in the trailer. It deserves more time.

Again, thanks for posting the link up, very much appreciated.

    Always remember, never forget,

    Jim.

Blimey Dick Winters is now Monty.

Do we need yet another movie about D-Day ?

I've seen a few more trailers for it this week. Looks pretty bad to me.

The original play was very good. Saw it at the Park Theatre to a packed house of a hundred and twenty

As I recall the Kay Summersby part was relatively large. Wonder if that will be the case in the fillum

A long review of 'Pressure' by James Holland, giving a historian's viewpoint as reflected in his title: Pressure: The Truth About the D-Day Weather.

    This sentence says it all:
From: Pressure: The Truth About the D-Day Weather

In terms of historical accuracy it was disastrous.

If I may give myself a little plug, here's the actual history:

Yes, it was originally a stage play and suffers from the usual problems of a movie adapted from a stage play based upon a historical event. OTOH, the acting was quite good and at least it wasn't nearly as bad as the awful Operation MINCEMEAT movie.

Nope, time to move on to E-Day.
