Hi Bernard Firstly, a hearty welcome to the forum ! With regards to : i just sent a message about a lot of army menbers.on second thought i want you to kno i am not anty army.i am one 13. 1 brother.youl like this.a military police.red cap.he came back from dunkirk. served.5 years.1brother in the pioneer corp.served 5 years overseas, wounded several times. promoted on the field for doing something right?.i brother i dont kno what reg he was in, but he went ashore in normandy.him and his mate. i never met him.worked on the pluto line. linking fuel lines to the advansing allies.a great feat of britich eng, 1 brother.was in the intelagent corp.he was dropped (by parachute of course).in france and armed and traine members of the french marqui?he was acting major,at the end of the war.3 of us where navy. one brother was.i dont kno he went where they sent him.we where never tod.this shoud give you army menber an idea that we had a hight regard for army personel.to continue..1 sister was in the ats,i was told she was training army dogs.1 sister worked at the air ministry..2 sisters where new mothers. they had there hands full.i am the last standind menber of my family,i hope this shows there is no anamosity towards karky.bernard85 If I read you correctly, you are one of a family of 13 which includes 3 of you in the navy ? You havn't given your age (just for your info, I'm 89) so I am not sure whether or not you served in WW2. It might be an idea to clear this up because if you did serve in WW2 this would mean that you qualify for Veteran status which means in turn that the moderators (that's the nice folk who monitor and run the forum) will protect you from any unwelcome comments Might I suggest that one of the mods moves your comments to another thread, or perhaps one of it's own, and renames it so that you can get the maximum of replies from some of our naval types ? Perhaps this one:http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/searching-someone-military-genealogy/6439-did-any-your-family-serve-during-ww2-if-so-what.html Best regards Ron who also comes from a family of 13 !
