Hey guys! My name is Scott and I'm 17 tomorrow (sorry I lied about my age to get on this) but I live in Scotland and collect Toy Soldiers, and have been doing so since I was 7 and I collect King and Country models and about 2 years ago they brought out a range called Market Garden (Arnhem) and since I was about 10 I have been fascinated with the battle of Arnhem! When I actually started to research the battle I learned all about XXX Corps' role in the battle, and for the past year I have been fascinated with XXX Corps and findng out all about what kind of vehicles were in it and what regiments! Recently King and Country brought out a model of a Sherman Firefly of the Irish Guards and I bought it and it is beautiful!I have included a picture of this model!Anyway I found this Forum and was wondering if anyone could give me information on what kind of tanks were in it apart from the Sherman and Sherman Firefly? Thank you in advance for any information, and here is a link to king and country (UK and .com Websites!) Collectible Toy Soldiers, Toy Soldier Figures, Military Miniatures, WW2 Toy Soldiers www.kingandcountry.com And here is a toy soldier websit and forum: Treefrog Treasures - Treefrog Treasures Treefrog Treasures Toy Soldier Forums - Powered by vBulletin Join on the toy soldier forum and say you were referred from me!You'll love it! My name is arhem44mad same on this! Thanks!
Welcome to the forum. 2nd Bn Irish Guards also used the Stuart. A Stuart and a column of Sherman tanks of 2nd Irish Guards, Guards Armoured Division, move across country during the advance south of Caumont, 31 July 1944. PS If you want to know more about XXX Corps, buy Club Route In Europe. A few here cheap. club route in europe groves - AbeBooks
Welcome to the forum. 2nd Bn Irish Guards also used the Stuart. Mate I swear to god what you just told me is amazing!Because I bought an american stuart from king and country years ago, however it broke so I destructed it into making it look like a blown up tank on fire and I am making an XXX Corps Market Garden Diorama and I put in it, however it felt odd because I thought that the Stuart tank was only used by the Americans, however now I know it wasn't I feel great! So thanks a lot!It fits in brilliant! And thanks a lot for the link mate!
check the link I edited into my post about the book, you might find it of interest. less of the smilies , please, I can't handle that many.

Hi Scott and welcome. There are one or two members here with a vague interest in Arnhem - well ok, loads of them and with a great deal of knowledge. I used to think I knew a bit about Market Garden until I saw some of the posts here! Enjoy the forum mate. Mike And don't worry about Owen, he's alright when you get to know him!
Welcome Scott - got any more pics of all your kit? Well the models actually come ready built mate, but there are many others! I'll find some more of that sherman but Well the models actually come ready built mate, but there are many others! I'll find some more of that sherman but Here we go mate! Here we go mate! Couple more!
Nice models but were there many Royal Marine Commandos involved in OMG ? Keep the collecting going, lots of us started off like that, collecting model/toy soldiers. Some still do.
Hello Scott and welcome! It's good to see another "Arnhem nut" on the forum, there just aren't enough of us you know! . I've seen the K&C range of Arnhem figures before and was wondering if you have this magazine? It showcases all the figures in the range and gives some great ideas as to how to display them. I've had a go at a few Arnhem figures/dioramas myself in the past and keep meaning to do some more but there never seems to be enough hours in the day! I've posted them on the 'Get yer kits out' thread if you're interested . http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/modelling/8755-get-yer-kits-out-28.html This is the magazine I mentioned above.

Yeah mate I have that brochure! It's brilliant! There was a bit of controversy when King and Country brought out the new arnhem range, as I was told about 4 years ago that it was coming out when I visited their showroom in Durham, and I was young, so I went back on the treefrog forum and alreted everyone, well I got me mouth clamped shut by King and Country after that, but when they finally announced it we all had a good laugh about it lolI even got a heads up as to what sets were coming out the first time! Liked that link mate!were some cool dios in there!
Morning Arnhem44 and welcome to the forums. Nice photos, by the way. Feel free to put up some more! Thanks! And thanks to all the people who have said welcome! Battle for Arnhem.... - Treefrog Treasures Toy Soldier Forums Towards the middle there are some pics of my very own XXX Corps dio taken a few months ago!My mum and dad are getting my loft donw up, and I am going to make a huge XXX Corps diorama and that will be my diorama room!
Hi Scott, welome to the forum and as Paul said you are among fellow Arnhem nuts of which I am one as for him and these Dioramas you both mention all Dutch to me I stick to the books ,perhaps if Paul bought more things like this KING AND COUNTRY-WW11-MARKET GAR ARNHEM-BRIT PARAS (2) on eBay (end time 04-Jun-10 14:16:32 BST) I would get more of the books than him. All the best and I look forward to your posts......... and Bootnecks at Arnhem I think not! Jason.
