New here. German 711 Division.

Just joined the group. I am a total novice but i wish to research the German 711th infantry division with the aim of obtain documents etc. If anyone could give me any advice that would be great.

Welcome aboard we do have some German members who may come along to advise and post.

Whether there are documents given the service indicated by Wiki is a moot point. See: 711th Infantry Division - Wikipedia

If you search online with: "711th Infantry Division" site:ww2talk.com three threads are found referring to their service in Normandy in 1944.

If you're familiar with the Bundesarchiv's Invenio website there are several documents that are free to download by doing a search for the 711. Infanterie-Division.
