New CWGC Commemorations - 17th December 2011

    CWGC added the following casualties to its database today.

    F/Lt Paul Jules Joseph DELORME
    157939 350 Sqdn, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve
    Died 21.03.46 Age 24
    Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance, Berks, UK

    F/O Eugene Louis Marie Joseph Ghislain Gaetan MICHAEUX
    200794 135 Wing, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve
    Died 22.07.46 Age 23
    Commemorated: United Kingdom Book of Remembrance, Berks, UK

    NOT FORGOTTEN

    The above were In From the Cold Project cases.
    - F/Lt Delorme died in an accidental fall from a window in Sylt, Germany (Volunteer: Dik Winkelman)
    - F/O Michaux accidentally drowned in the River Sambre, Belgium (Volunteer: Margaret Cutress)

    Both the above were Belgian nationals serving in the RAF. Their graves in Europe are known and are being checked.
