New CWGC Commemorations 15th July 2017

    CWGC added the following casualties to the WW2 Civilian War Dead Roll today.

    BATES, John Naunton
    Died 10.09.43 Age 14
    Reporting Authority: Amesbury, Rural District

    CLARK, Alice
    Died 16.09.46 Age 36
    Reporting Authority: Woolwich, Metropolitan Borough

    NOT FORGOTTEN

    The above were In From the Cold Project cases

    (Civilians - Volunteers: Chris Harley for Clarke, Stephen Nulty for Bates)

    - John Bates died in the crash of an RAF Oxford aircraft
    - Alice Clark died of injuries sustained in a flying bomb explosion in August 1944
