The following were In From the Cold Project cases (Volunteer for all: Chris Harley) These casualties were all Warrant Officers with the New Guinea Police Force who died as PoWs on 01.07.42 when the S.S. Montevideo Maru was sunk. ALLEN, William Edward Age 38 ASH, Norman Ernest Age 40 BROWN, Thomas Goodsir LIVINGSTONE, William James Age 37 MacDOUGALL, Donald Age 41 NAULTY, Patrick George Age 43 SNOOK, Samuel Age 50 THOMAS, Cecil Age 26 WALKER, Thomas Age 55 Commemorated: Rabaul Memorial, Papua New Guinea NOT FORGOTTEN
All of these casualties were previously named on the CWGC Civilian ROH, but I found documentation that showed that they were members of the New Guinea Police Force.
