I visited the US cemetery yesterday to take some photographs for Rob van den Brink (the man behind the Norton 16H website) who is researching the crew of a B17 which crashed in The Netherlands. It would seem that the US grave consolidations went beyond national boundaries.

The cemetery has quite a detailed webpage but strangely doesn't include a photograph with a WD Norton in the foreground

It would appear that relatives of US casualties can obtain photographs of the graves via the Commission. There appeared to be caretakers resident on site too. A different scale of things from the CWGC sites.
