It is perhaps a better tribute to all those young men from Canada (and other Dominion/Empire Countries) who gave their lives for our freedom that Hannah and her classmates DON'T know very much about war, ranks and other military issues.

The peace these young people laid down their lives for meant that 2, 3 or 4 generations on, the daily reminders that those involved in WW2, have faded away.
It's only history projects such as these youngsters have embarked on that brings those reminders of the cost in lives that WW2 exacted.

History only starts to become interesting as a subject when there is something fascinating to discover, and the older you get, the more meaning history has.
What I was taught in school as "Current Affairs" is now "History" to Hannah's generation!

If by helping we have fanned the spark of interest in just one of them, the projects they have been set will have been worthwhile.
I can be a boring old f*rt along with the best, but we all started with a very limited knowledge that has taken time to grow.
The enjoyment of the first time you can add something useful to someone else's enquiry is almost a drug that makes you want to do more.

'nuff said, some of them will no doubt simply cut and paste the information provided, one or two may just want to Google for more information that they can call their own, with the hints provided here....
