    Hi all,

I have a SVT-40 bayonet in my collection and I want to know more about it (production year, maker, etc).

But I can't seem to find a lot of information on the internet, maybe you can help!

    I have some pictures:

Hope some of you can point me in the right direction.

    Thanks in advance!

Hi Olli, thanks for the reply. I see what you mean and I agree. That does mean that the bayonet is a late-war type but the scabbard is an early one, am I right?

If bayonet and scabbard belong together, then I would guess the period around 1942.
The stamped star means Tula manufacture.
Since the blade is natural metal, it was not refurbished after the war, which makes it more interesting for collectors.

But with this my rather modest knowledge is exhausted completely :pipe:
    regards
