    Hi,

I am trying to find information about my grandfather, who was called Kurt Karl Kupferman. He was a POW, captured in North Africa(possibly Tubrok) and possibly a member of the Natal Field Artillery.

I know this isn't much information to go on, but the details have been lost and I would really like to get ANY information anyone can provide or point me in the right direction to.

Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Lee,
    welcome to the Forum.

I have the Lists of South African P.O.W. as of 1945 and he doesn't show up. Do you know if he Escaped or was repatriated.

Have you tried Major Keene at The South African Museum of Military History as their Records are pretty comprehensive.

Thanks for such a quick response Brian!

I am pretty sure he was repatriated but the whole thing is kind of a black box to be honest. He never wanted to talk about the war and passed away very suddenly when my father was 19 and his story went with him.

Thanks for the advice in regards to the South African Museum of Military History. I will try them and hope for the best.

    Thanks again

    Lee

Lee, In anticipation, this may be relevant. I was only interested in OP Crusader so that's the only pages I have of this document.
