Completely forgot about this one - I got hugely tired of looking at obscure French Tractors and gave up ages ago.
Yeah - Cough up with this adsk/citroen/straussler/puch or whatever it is Bod & let's get this rolling again.

    Oops, sorry men.
    It's a Bernard TT4, unarmoured Straussler design.

Here's an early Christmas present, a nice easy one to get us started again.

    What's this?

Is there a medical name for an Overvalwagen obsession?..

It's the second, production version of the Krupp Gepanzerter Radfahrzeug 1936 - based on their L2H/Protze truck (and as featured in that well known view of the post-fall Reichstag).
I assume in Dutch East Indies service? Again.

No it's not. It is one of the earlier 1933/4 prototypes. The production version seems not to have the hull machine gun. On a Krupp 22H143 chassis, armoured by the Rotterdam shipyard Wilton-Fijenoord and sold to the K.N.I.L.

Of course. I said it was easy :D

    No it's not.
As it's the season - I'd still say "Oh yes it is!" (though with slightly more reservation) - Forty and this:
    Krupp Gepanzerter Radfahrzeug

    What's this then?
Not a particularly difficult vehicle but a great illustration of an unusual form of hull construction - which is what gives it away as much as anything...

I would agree that, that is it's German designation however there is no evidence of them in K.N.I.L. service. They appear to have had the two Wilton-Fijenoord's in 1934. Discovered to be too heavy for the local roads and were sold back to the shipyard. They were later sold to Brazil. The third prototype remained in Rotterdam until captured by the Germans. In my opinion it is this vehicle that is destroyed outside the Reichstag. :twocents: I guess we will never know.

Hmm, Borgward BII. I had no idea they were made of reinforced concrete?
If that is that what it is

I reckon so, Bod. No sign of the drivers position or escape hatch from the BIV and nobody seems to know anything of the BIII:

I'll take a BII as an answer. Can't see the roadwheels properly and that's supposed to have some bearing on possible variants.
Odd statement in Chamberlain/Doyle that they never went past prototype and the bizarre ENTE variant. Sure this isn't the only picture apparently in service I've seen.

The more I think of no strong need for armour and their disposable nature the less genuinely peculiar that concrete body seems.
Can see myself having to buy that lump of a book on Funklenkpanzer stuff one day

    Over to Bod.

Since looking very hard at pictures of the little fella this morning, I concur that they did make it into production. I've seen figures relating to a hundred, or so. I feel a new thread coming on.. The amphibious Ente, is the one that got away. Prototype only and it never left Kummesdorff.

    Here's a new one

Actually it was a bloody infuriating one mate. I'm sure you know the feeling of "I know exactly what that is" followed by a complete blank to the memory and much book-rummaging...

What's this rather convincing looking nearly-vehicle?

    Adam/Bod,
Just looked up the link and the T28 which caused the T27 to be cancelled.

For me the T27 is a better looking vehicle that looks well balanced for an armoured car.

I always thought it looked just right too Tom, easier to imagine it in those shots of European lanes than much other prototype stuff.

I suppose that a six wheeler is easier to maintain than an eight wheeler.

Always thought eight wheelers look good regardless of which country built them.
