I'd thought it might be an armoured up version of that Foden Gun carrier lorry with the bloody great naval gun mounted on top,
    Foden Gun carrier
Not so sure now, front rearrangement would have to have been drastic.

    Hmmm, is it American?

You would be wise not to trust me.. Do those front hubs look American?

I have absolutely no idea what you mean Za...-_-

I'd thought the hats looked Italian... which for some reason made me think the vehicle might be American , but it isn't:

Quite so. A 102mm Gun mounted on a Breda 51? chassis in 1942

    Your turn.

My oh my. I do declare that is an 3" Gun Motor Carriage T1 (M5). A 3in gun mounted on a slightly modified M5 high speed tractor running gear. Standardised as the T5 GMC in 1941 it never made it into production.

Correct ID, though 'Tanks!' has this on usage:
This 3" self propelled gun was built by the Cleveland Tractor Company (Cletrac) in 1941. After improvements and tests, the vehicle was accepted as the M5 in 1942. The M5 remained in use with the American military into the 1950s. The gun's range was nearly 9 miles and could deliver 20 rounds per minute in short bursts. 33 rounds were carried onboard.

Interesting, Chamberlain and Ellis have The pilot model was completed in November 1941 and standardised as the T5 GMC. However, no production orders were given, since far superior SP designs had been produced in the meantime. In September 1942 the T1 (M5) was declared obsolete.
I wonder if the reference is for the M5 High Speed Tractor rather than the SP gun.

    OK what is this?
