    Otter.

The Otter Reconnaissance Car, yet another product of GM Oshawa (Ontario), is so ugly it's beautiful! Some 1761 were produced, and most saw service in both Italy and northern Europe in security and convoy escort roles.

That Otter and the CT15 look very Humber Pig-ish or Saracen-like don't they?
Some lovely photos of them on this site.

Yup, Canadian Otter. It does have that Alvis kind of look about it doesn't it? You might expect it to turn up in photos from Aden in the 1960's or something. I have seen photos of a nice runner currently attending shows on the continent, possibly Belgium, but I have lost the link. Sory about the size of the photo.

That would be an M32 recovery Sherman fitted with the rather unusual 'Earthworm' mineclearing attachment... somewhere in Italy.

Well, this one is a real challenge, isn't it? The peculiar vanes on the rear wheel and open, raised cab suggest a civilian tractor modified for beach or foreshore work. Snurgling around has produced any number of civilian tractors that it might have been based on, possibly the least unlikely being a Case. I'm not sure that I am ready yet to subscribe to Historic Tractor Quarterly though...

The HL12 model, made from the late 1920's onwards, I think, but I can't find any military context for it yet.
