Looks like a German Panther to me.

That's very interesting info. I've just started to get really interested in the Panther.

First hint - this vehicle was a contemporary at the same club:

After looking at prototypes pf the East German P3 and deciding that they did not qite fill the bill, I went back to my original thought of a post war Goliathprototype for the iitial Bundeswehr 0.25 tonne 'jeep'; the competion for which was won by the DKW Munga. Indeed the Goliath Model 31 (or perhaps 34) 0.25 tonne 4x4.
Actually I would have answered up before, but (which still is the situation) I realised I had no future conundrums to offer. But perhaps this one will do.

Chris hit the bull's eye: It is indeed the Goliath Type 34, of which about 80 were built. the second car shown was the third competitor, a Porsche 597, of which there were about 50

So that the traffic jam clears up a little:
The car of Chisgove is an Adler Type10 2.5L Autobahn Stomlinie
(I personally like the Coupe much better though)

Yes. Sorry, I should have given a hint or two over time.

Can anyone tell me what make/model truck this is? The image is from the IWM site and is captioned "Sappers of 578 Field Company Royal Engineers attach explosives to the underside of a partly demolished bridge prior to constructing a new span, south of Isernia, 5 November 1943."
