    PzKpfw Skoda T-15

In 1942, Skoda built a prototype of T-15 (Panzerspahwagen II ausf. Skoda) in competition with VK 1303 (PzKpfw II Luchs), but it's design was rejected.
    from Achtung Panzer!

The T-15 was similar to the PzKpfw 38(t). The main differences being in the suspension and the welded construction. It was armed with a 37mm main gun, weighed 10.7 tons and had a top speed of 53 Km/h

The two prototypes were delivered to the Kummersdorf test facility in May 1942, the vehicle was considered good but the Daimler VK 1303 had better radio equipment and cross country abilities so T-15 was not put into production.

Marmon-Herrington CTLS called T-15 by the USMC and used in Alaska in 1942.

So there we go. Three tanks all known as T-15 and not a Russian in sight. Nobody got a sniff eh!
The next question is open to anyone. Take it away somebody...

Looks like T49 Tracks, suitable for non HVSS Sherman/M3 running gear, but as you're quite devious and it was used to replace tracks on the Ram I'll go for that.

Something the Ringling Brothers, Barnum and Bailey Circus used in their clown acts?

Less Heath-Robinson or Barnum & Bailey, more Messr's Carden & Loyd. It is a Carrier, Machine Gun, Mk VIa undergoing trials by driving over a wheeled teeter-totter. That two wheeled bogie could be fitted with tracks and a pull bar and towed.

Bod, you gave the better explaination so I reckon you get it.
Have you noticed not many people joining in here?
    Think it's a bit hard for the non-nerds?? :)

Recently some more have had a go, thanks T.A. and Slipdigit.. But it is too hard even for the nerds sometimes. It is no fun if it does not present a challenge. I apologise if I have raised the bar. The vast majority of these vehicles can be identified by applied, intelligent Googleing, that is all I do. Experience can be gained quickly that way. Patience is the key.

    OK an easy one..

Think you should apologise for smugness rather than anything else. ;)
I've used up most of the killers in all those years of 'name that tank' by email.

German artillery observation ball from Kubinka, site's down so I can't check designation (don't think it had one anyway, much conjecture on it.)

Could be a good sign Kubinka site's down, might be getting tarted up?

Isn't it bloody annoying when a picture comes up that I was looking at a few days ago and can't remember where I saw it?
That armoured ball, only saw that the other day now can't remember where.

OK I apoligise for being smug too :)

Good timing that the Kublinka site is down, eh!
From what I remember of the sketchy information it was just called 'ball tank', (Kugelpanzer) German construction, captured by the Soviets from the Japanese in Manchuria. Funny to think that one of these was transported by U-boat along with A-bomb technology and Me 262 engines...

Your turn.. I promise that if you post a 'killer' from the old days, I won't play. That's if I recognise it.
