As some of you know, my father was 90 this week. Despite a few health problems I am pleased to report he is still going strong. He told me he was pleased to meet some of you at the wedding last year, and thanks Soren for the fantastic sketches he has done. Was away on his actual birthday, but going to see him and my mum next week. Dad in 1945.
Happy Birthday Bert. for anyone who hasn't read Gunner's Reed's story of time at Anzio, have a read on this thread. http://www.ww2talk.com/forum/real-life-experiences/9659-gunner-b-l-reed-14398276-a.html
Paul, wish your father a very happy 90th birthday. I hope your family all have a nice celebration. Owen, thanks for the link. I enjoyed reading about Bert's story. Regards Hugh
Give my regards to Reed senior Paul and wish him all the best, so what did he want for his Birthday? All the best to you and your family Paul Cheers Kieron
He does have my old desktop, but he won't go online. I have shown him some things here, and will do so with this thread.
Paul please give your Father my regards and best of health. my Father-in-law was a serviceman in the Pacific during the war on a Tin-can, is now 87 but his memory is failing, the body is getting old sadly. Be strong ! Erich ~
If it's not too late in the day, best wishes also from three WW2 Vets. Around Christmas my eldest bro (Burma Star) will also be 90; my elder bro (Atlantic Star) will be 88 and I'll be 85 (Deo Valente!). Les
