Hi Everybody Im very new at this and very slow on keyboard,wondering if someone can help me,my Dad wouldnt talk much about the ww2 War and i would like any info i can get for my Family Tree.His name was Alfred Percy Nicholls Born 1920 Middlesex. He was in the Middlesex Regiment of the Royal Artilery,and was a Anti Aircraft Gunner he was a Private.All i know is he got blown up when a Bomb dropped nearby and damaged his ears and arm,apparently he was never the same when he came out.I would be very gratefull for any help in this matter.if you wish to Email me im on john.nicholls [at] sky.com Many thanks John Nicholls

John Welcome on board Have you any information on when and where it happened? it may also help to go to the national Archieves to find the unit war diary. There are one or two members who will copy the War Diary for you for a modest fee
Hi THe best thing to do is apply for his service records- service records sar form requests Fill out the 2 forms and send off with fee, then wait. You will get lots of information on him. Then you can get the war diary as noted above. I wonder if this was his regiment - RA 1939-45 75 LAA or it could be this one- RA 1939-45 126 LAA but his records will show which, if either or not. regards Robert
