At United's game on Saturday they held a minutes silence. You could still see the pain etched on Bobby Charlton's face, even after all these years. Being a boy of the 1970's, sometimes black and white footage of footballers passes me by, however, I have always thought that Duncan Edwards looked like a real classy footballer in whichever medium you watched him.

in the 70tees I lived close to the crash area and whenever I was driving around the street where the aircraft crashed I had a strange feeling and being a supporter of Bayern Munich I am happy that Bayern today is taking care of the memorial.

That is wonderful to hear Stefan. It is easy to forget that tragedies such as these, have an effect on all invovled, not just those lost to the event.

A tragedy without doubt and took a long time to establish the cause of the crash at the former disused Munich -Riem Airport. It took 10 years to clear the pilot,Thane, of blame.

Slush which had not been cleared from the the runway, adversely affected acceleration causing a delay in the rotate speed Vr, resulting in a shallow lift and collision with obstacles external to the airfield.

    Stefan,

It looks as if you will have to resize the image in order for the system to accept the post. You probably have a resizing tool on your computer software.
