WO203/2069 REME Personal Accounts at Kew has some interesting accounts of the activities at MS 109 on the Tiddim Road during the withdrawal of 17th Indian (Light Division) to Imphal.

    I hadn't realised there were 1000 vehicles at MS109!

It seems that the situation where some units maintained fire discipline and others just panicked was replicated at MS82 (and in the defence of Moreh near Tamu) as well. That is understandable given the lack of infantry training these accounts point out - the dumping of stretcher borne casualties less so.
