    Marvellous category on the ever-impressive IWM Collections.
    None of that colourised nonsense - the real thing.
    (Pottered onto while looking up an image on a book cover JB posted on Twitter, so thanks to him.)

    Brilliant photos. The Elf and Safety and Quality Control brigades would have a field day with that lot....oil drums as stands.....PPE-not etc etc

    Would have been nice to spot a pith helmet in the Vatican photo....but that could, I guess, also fit in the Officers Sartorial Elegance thread?

    bamboo43, you're right. Seeing a picture in colour, rather than B&W, makes things far more immediate!
