EA games have a new MOH coming out in December - just in time for Christmas <_< - which is entitled 'Pacific Assault'. It seems very similar to the PS2 version but has something like 25+ single person missions.

Quite a few of the PC gaming mags in the UK have a demo version on disk at the moment; I got one from 'PCGAMER' yesterday.

Of interest is the 'Directors Edition' of the game which comes with a DVD packed full of extras, including interviews with Pacific veterans.

Looking forward to it, Paul. Already got Frontline Assault and Rising Sun. Used to have the original MOH and MOH Underground. As games go, I think they're quite realistic.

So did anything happen about having MOH online for forum members? I quite fancied getting my hands on a BAR :)

Has anyone played any of the MOH series on line? If so, please tell us what it is like.

I see they are promotig the new one on TV. First time I can remember that a WWII game has been advertised in theis way in the UK.

I have played Moh online for the last 2 years and loved every minute of it! Got Pacific Assault today, really enjoying it so far :)

There is a 'Directors Edition' of this out at the moment. Mine cost £39.99 in 'Game' the other day. It includes details of Pacific Battles and interviews with veterans. Well worth it; what with Christmas and work (and Rome Total War!) I haven't had a chance to play yet, but it looks good.

i love the story line to the game is super, as for the game then its very poor, cant seem to get in to some action as it takes a few shots to kill the japs and seem to be for ever saving where i am, but may be i am just to used to playing call of duty to much, i give it a 4/10 dont waste your money get call of duty on pc it rox :D

I thought I'd bring this up again now we are past the holiday season. I am sure there were some plans to start an MOH online game site for forum members?

Having played this game now, I was very disappointed with. So much sos that I haven't gone further than the first couple of missions: it seems to have lost the plot in my opinion. In contrast I can play COD and the older MOHs again and again. Not this one...

Would be great to have a forum MOH game site!

To me, MOHAA is the best war game and it is in fact the only game that can attract me for hours and days. I think it was almost two years ago. I spent every holidays to play with it. I worked in an IT firm at that time and we've a colleague to host a game server at his home. Nine colleagues played 14 hours overnight at the most crazy day. But, I don't think I can afford this any more because of workload. From inner heart, I really want to try it again.
Any one can upload some screenshoots?

In what aspects, Call of Duty is better. Maybe I need a trial.

I really enjoyed playing MoHAA, then MoHSpearhead, not quite so much Breakthrough. I especially thought the Omaha Beach mission was good. As was the Parachute landing in the beginning of Spearhead.

    Until I played CoD.

CoD is better IMO because it's more realistic, the game is played through the eyes of One character (the same as MoH) but the squad around you, and the whole atmosphere made it much more enjoyable for me.

Have you noticed, in MoH, you start off in a group of about 7 or 8 men, but after about 3 minutes you're on your own?

    This doesn't happen in CoD

    Graphics are better too.

But this is all IMO, try it for yourself, I promise you wont be dissapointed.

    Mark.

Is anyone hosting MOH online for 'forum' members?

If I can host it on a windows server then I could offer it forum members, would need to establish how to configure it for online play but that should not be too hard.

If anyone has a windows 2003 configuration link let me know otherwise I will source one.
