    Thanks for that. Already have that info and live about 5 miles from that cemetary.

    Have looked through the online papers that I have access to (Findmypast) but unable to find anything. Worth a shot.

    There must be somewhere that has a list of causes of death for military personel.

    There will be [probably] if he died in a hospital, if he died in a battle then they would come along after with a body bag and the rest is history, it would be impossible for the crew that deal with bodies killed in action to write up a detailed report on how each one of then died - alternatively they would need a whole battalions of forensic surgeons to write millions of reports.

    Tricky, at the time of his death there only small squirmishes going on.
