My Grandfather was in the Military Police during the War. He was in the 8th Indian Division's Provost Unit during their time in Italy.

On reading through the Unit's war diaries it seems that much of his work related to signing roads to aid the flow of military traffic.

Would any members know what these signs would have looked like/said, or indeed have photos of any of them?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    James

I always imagine this kind of business. That's the 4th Ind Div logo, but what the numbers denote is a mystery. Route numbers on maps?
