Slightly off topic but I was at Limavady Airfield on Saturday and visited what remains of the Hospital, Ambulance Station and Mortuary.

All are in reasonable condition and indeed 2 of the trollies used in the Mortuary (Each with places for 3 bodies on rollers) are still there.

James Boyce reports from the ruins of this former military hospital in the grounds of Waringfield House, near Moira, County Down.

The facility is about to be broken up and auctioned off, and an astonishing array of damaged machinery and disused implements is shown lying around the buildings. Boyce itemises some of the lots and reflects on the "crumbling hand of time".

    Recorded circa 1960.
