Cold War Russian helicopters parked up at the Luftwaffen Museum (Ex RAF Gatow) at Gatow, Berlin.

I am not a helicopter expert, but the Russian Mil 24 Attack helicopter certainly looks mean and capable of a lot of firepower.

These have been recently moved to the Cold war section of the airfield, both supply and attack helicopters.

Hi Tom.....The Mil 24 Hind is a beast thats for sure and was one of the few thorns in the Mujahideen side along with the 'Frogfoot' if I remember the name correctly, a Sukhoi aircraft modelled on the A-10.

The Hip Mil-8 I think, reminded me of a picture I took in Iraq of a white one with USA written on the side of it. Never got my head around what it was doing at the Palace on a daily basis but the rumour was CIA Sy-Ops as the occupants were 'suits' and the big mast they errected.

Cheers for sharing the pics matey.
