Rescued all 51 from EMPIRE SUNRISE, which had been torpedoed and damaged on 01 November 1942, when in Convoy SC.107, some 500 miles East of Belle Isle, by U-402, then torpedoed and sunk on 02 November 1942 in position 51 50N 046 25W, by U-84; then she rescued 49 from DALCROY on 02 November 1942, which was torpedoed and sunk in position 52 30N 045 30W, by U-402; then she rescued reportedly 26 (Lloyds said 8 dead and 23 survivors) from RINOS (Greek) on 02 November 1942, which had been torpedoed and sunk in position 52 30N 045 30W, by U-402; then she rescued all 50 from EMPIRE ANTELOPE on 02 November 1942, which had been torpedoed and sunk in position 52 26N 045 22W, by U-402; then she rescued 4 (one of whom died on board) (U-Boat says 5 with one dying on board) from EMPIRE LEOPARD on 02 November 1942, which had been torpedoed and sunk in position 52 26N 045 22W, by U-402; then she rescued 23 from PARTHENON (Greek) on 02 November 1942, which had been torpedoed and sunk in position 53 30N 042 15W, by U-522; during this rescue she damaged her propeller and thus her speed was now much reduced; she then rescued 53 from HAHIRA (American), which had been torpedoed and sunk on 03 November 1942, some 400 miles South of Cape Farewell, in position 54 15N 041 57W, by U-521; in 34 hours she had rescued 256 men from 7 ships, a record never surpassed in The Rescue Fleet; she was now grossly overcrowded, with inadequate lifeboat and liferaft capacity for the 320 Crew and Survivors now on board so she requested and was given permission to head to Reykjavik with an escort to land the survivors; despite her damaged propeller she arrived at Reykjavik four days later on 08 November 1942.
Her next and final convoy was ON.166; she was torpedoed and sank within 3 minutes on 23 February 1943, East of Cape Race, in position 47 22N 034 10W, by U-604.
