My nephews aged 12 and 16 are starting today, a three day visit to the Flanders area of France to view battlefield sites and memorials. Iam genuinely pleased at their interest. Hope they have a good trip and get something from the trip. No matter how small. At least they've been. If they continue the interest good on them , if not just hope they gain an insight. Did you ask them to bring you back some Belgium chocolate?
