Today I attended a memorial to the 60th anniversary of the B24 Liberator 'Ruth-Less' who crashed in Feb 1944 whilst attempting a crash landing at Friston Airfield, nr Eastbourne. She was on her way back from a mission to destroy the V1 base at Eperlecques, Pas de Calais. The memorial itself was erected in 1995. Some photos follow.
