    hi
    i know this is a long shot but i have 15 names on my local war memorial that i`ve been unable to find on the cwgc website. I know nothing other than their names and the fact they were all from buckley town in flintshire.
    any help will be gratefully appreciated .

    Sketch, I can't find any Mallett with a connection to Flintshire or surrounding counties in the databases I am looking in. Mind you I am not looking in Navy or Air Force, I don't have access to those, which is probably why I can't find him, or some of the others.

    i`m going to try the newspaper archives in mold library next.

    i would of thought that if he won these medals, they would be mentioned after his name on the memorial (as others are).
    so that seems to point to it being the other r.mallet that was serving in the b.o.a.c.
