Very interesting, Peter. I can't help thinking what it was like at a weekend camp if the catering was being done by those trainees at cookery courses....on their FIRST lesson! Here's a question for those who might remember - look at "Appendix F" on the third page....all measurements are in ounces, pints or rations points EXCEPT for meat - "10d" and "2d" IS this tenpence and tuppence? Or some measurement on the Ration scale???
10d, 2d? Aren't these drams? But a dram is 1/16th of an ounce, so amounts would be mimuscule. I have to be wrong
