    The forum software-move is coming.

As far as I can see on WW2F, the photos in my profile have transferred perfectly well to a profile Gallery link.

    But...
Just in Case (You never know with these techie things):

If anyone has anything stored in their profile albums that they may have lost the original file for - now might be a good time to save a backup copy to your own pooter.

like I say: Just in case; ought to be fine, & I'm thinking of possible issues that might conceivably occur (everything will be backed up at this end anyway - but it might be easier for you chaps to do a tiny bit of your own backing up too.)

If the other forum members are anything like me, not only do they use the belt and braces syndrome, even their braces have braces :)

    Hi
I have just posted some pictures of my dads in India 1944 they are not action shot but records of is comrades in relaxation mode. Still I would be overjoyed if only one name emerged from the posting. The other reason for posting is I know these will disappear after I am gone another tiny memory lost of the sacrifices made by my older generation. I will be putting together as much information, hopefully with your help, to make sure my Kids and Grandchildren know and don't forget.
Does anybody think say The Lancs Fusiliers assc or the Bury Museum would be interested.

Just looked at your album & cap badge doesnt like Lans Fus , more to me like Duke of Wellington's Regiment.
Also infantry didnt wear the dark blue beret until after WW2 .
Doesn't look like 1944 to me, Postwar photos I'd say.

    Hi Owen
These photos are definitely my fathers who was in the LF as well as the territorials in Bury prewar.
some pics have written on the back the place Eg Malabar Hill, breach candy Bombay with the date April 1945. Not post war.
Take your point on cap badge I will be doing more research before I make any comment.

Could he have transferd to 146th Royal Armoured Corps?
That would explain DoW cap badge & black beret .
Have you sent off to the MoD for his service records ?
