Hello, After a few questions, I finally found How to introduce myself. Service life started in the Civil Defence Corps 1956, Conscripted into RAF 1959, served as Gnr/Dvr in 37Sqn LAA RAF Regiment Stationed at Akrotiri, Cyprus. Joined 300 Regt RA (TA) East Ham 1962. Emigrated to Canada in 1965. 1980, Inducted into Canadian Forces Reserves C.I.C. Retired from that in 2003, and became a director in the Ontario Provincial Committee, Air Cadet League of Canada and retired from that in 2015. Since that time have worked as a Civilian Volunteer Instructor with an RCA Cadet corps. Main two interests are collecting Badges, Buttons and Insignia of the Royal Artillery and all artilleries of the Former British Empire and Today’s British Commonwealth. The other? Vintage Motorcycles! Well, they weren’t vintage when I bought them... but still have my ‘59 BSA “Golden Flash” (bought new in ‘59.) a ‘69 Norton Commando, ‘74 Ducati 750 GT and my ride of the moment, ‘94 Triumpf 900 Sprint.
I’m hoping to learn a lot more about my passion of collecting Artillery Insignia and also, if asked about any particular pieces I might have, be able to contribute some meaningful answers. David Jeffrey

Hello Chris, I’m right across the lake, 32 miles, and the last time I made the crossing was on the newly built H.M.C.S Toronto! Captain showed what she could do out in the deep water. If I remember, we even got a salute from HAIDA, but how they did it, memory fails me.

Very cool :) When we are out of this pandemic mess I need to go visit the Haida and the Hamilton air museum.
