Hello, In the attached image the top grey coloured extract is from my grandmothers service records, who served in the ATS and below that is an extract from my grandfathers service records showing his entitlement of the BWM. My question is on my nans service records, apart from entitlement to the BWW, it has an additional box with Stars/Clasps and the abbreviation A/G/1 and is stamped Medals issued, which suggests more than one, please could anyone kindly explain this additional box and exactly what my grandmother would have received? Many Thanks
Tom, I think that you will find that had any stars or clasps been issued then the numbers issued would have been inserted when stamped. N.B. the acronym BWM is generally used for the First World War medal rather than the War Medal 1939/45.
