Hi, after researching much of my grandad's time in army in WW2 (1944 is still a blank) I got to see one of his company war diaries at Kew and we as a family have recently received several medals. I bought this presentation case for mum and we also have his cap badge. Any ideas on how best to secure the medals (so they look nice but are not loose) ? See image
I'm undecided if I want them court mounted or not as I think it's nice to be able to take them out individually.
Also considering having the Burma Star engraved with number, name etc.
Any thoughts guys ? Cheers Rob

    Hi Rob

I agree, don't court mount them, it is a lot harder to view them.
As how to secure them, there are lots of options, maybe google them.
    It is your decision.
Instead of engraving the medals, why not get a plaque done with all his details and put it under the medals?

    regards

    Robert

Robert, thanks for your advice and opinion. I like the idea of a plaque and there is plenty room, cheers Rob
