Can anyone confirm that the most common Marder in Tunisia was the Mark III? That is the impression I get from reading posts on a modelling forum. 9 Mark Is were sent, some number of Mark IIIs, and according to an older post perhaps no Mark IIs.
Here is a photo of a knocked out Marder III in Tunisia. https://i.pinimg.com/originals/38/c3/ac/38c3ac2aa54ad16827ce4932bbd2eb1d.jpg
Here is a whole line of them at La Goulette in Tunisia. There are more of the same series on that site and an online photo search comes up with Marder II's and Marder I (Lorraine chassis) being loaded in Me gliders for shipment to the bridgehead. https://pixpast.com/static2/preview...-column-in-la-goulette-tunisia-1942-12547.jpg
