Major Mike Sayers, Irish Rugby International

Discussion in 'General' started by Jonathan Saunders, Oct 4, 2010.

  1. Does anyone have information relating to the aircrash at Wing, near Aylesbury, Buckinghmashire, that took place on 6th December 1943? Specifically I would like to know why Major Sayers was in this aircraft.

Born, Herbert James Michael Sayers; he attended Stonyhurst College before going to Sandhurst and was a Loose Forward for the Army Rugby team also gaining 10 caps for Ireland before the war. Sadly killed in the forementioned air carsh.

    Any help, most appreciated.

    Regards,

    Jonathan S
