    Hi

The above sailor received a DSM "For most distinguished service, efficiency and zeal, in the clearance of the Aegean and the relief of Greece during the period 1944-1945."

Anyone know which ship he was on at the time?

One site states he was at HMS Prometheous but that's a shore base in Alex.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi Gus,

This doesn't help you one jot but this is he heading in 'The Distinguished Service Medal 1939 -1946' by W.H. Fevyer.

    Hi

Found a website that suggests he was the Minesweeping Flotilla Commander's personal Signalman.

That would therefore be Cdr Jenkins of 5 MSF on board HMS Larne and then HMS Welfare when HMS Larne was disabled when she struck a mine on 15 Oct 44.
