Hi, does anyone have any infromation about the following officer - C.W. Barker. He served for the CCG after the war as Kreis Resident Officer in S/K Dortmund from 1949 onward.
Hi everyone, I am doing some research on the following soldier. Charles William Barker, Royal Army Ordnance Corps. Does anyone have any other biographical details about this man? He was KRO in the German city of Dortmund from December 1948 onward. So Lt-Col. might have been a title he recieved when getting the post. There is a Lt.-Col. C. W. Barker gazetted into the Royal Army Ordnance Corps as Lt. 1 Sept. 1931 Page 5693 | Issue 33749, 1 September 1931 | London Gazette | The Gazette but I am not sure if he is the right man. This man later acquired the qualification and post nominals of A.M.I. Mech E. Promoted to Lt.-Col 21 December 1948, retired 15 June 1955. Unfortunately I have no idea what 'A.M.I. Mech E. 'signifies.
