    He was killed in action 16/08/1944. Can anyone shed any light on the circumstances surrounding his death?

    who died
    on 16 August 1944
    Son of James and Margaret Schofield; husband of Marjory Elizabeth Schofield, of Bishopton, Renfrewshire.
    Remembered with honour
    BANNEVILLE-LA-CAMPAGNE WAR CEMETERY

    I have the CWGC details & a google search brought up your prior post, but I was wondering if anyone has the War Diaries & would be able to give further details.

    Lieutenant Alan Bertram Schofield 187753 was my Grandfather. Any information anyone can share with me would be greatly appreciated.
