    Hello All,
I'd like some information on the Signalman Dyment F96717 please.
He was Canadian and was awarded his war service badge #731949 in 1945.
Any help will be gratefully received as he didn't talk about his experiences much and his family would like to know more about his service.
    Thanks.

His service number indicates that is was recruited in Military District No. 6 at No. 6 District Depot, which was located in Halifax as part of the Active Force. Do you have any other details, such as a first name, birthdate and birthplace?

Sorry. I forgot to look at the thread title.

He appears on a number of family trees on Ancestry. Are you linked to any of these trees?

You can try the following to request service information from the Library and Archives of Canada:

I would suggest following the LAC link I provided to see if you can obtain documents regarding his service. Being in a corps such as the RCCS, rather than a regiment, he could be assigned to any number of formations.

I have the "History of the Royal Canadian Corps of Signals 1903-1961" but there is no mention of your man.
