    I am researching a member of the Royal Canadian Air Force named John Anthony Foch Heffernan for a school project. He was born in Edmonton, Alberta on November 22, 1918. Any information would be a huge help.

    Declan, the following info re the loss of your man comes from the publication - RAF Bomber Command Losses by W R. Chorley. I would appreciate it if you acknowledge the source in your research.

    Aircraft code PG-D
    Operation - Berlin

    The aircraft took off from RAF Woodhall Spa and crashed at Wense, 4 km north north west of Wendeburg. (no further details re the aircraft's loss)
